Rosebud Sioux Tribe’s Attorney General, Aisha Uwais-Savage Concha, allegedly lied to the RST Council, stating that she is an enrolled tribal member to gain employment with the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. No one has come forward with information regarding any pending criminal charges against her from the Taos, Pueblo or the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. On February 13, 2014, Lakota Voice submitted a request to the Taos, Pueblo to verify the enrollment of Rosebud Sioux Tribe’s Attorney General, Aisha Uwais-Savage Concha. Concha, hired in November 2013, stated to tribal council in her phone interview, during a public tribal council meeting, that she was an enrolled member of the Taos, Pueblo. A council representative, who requested to remain unnamed, stated that being a member of a federally recognized tribe gave her the advantage over other applicants. Repeated attempts to contact Attorney General Aisha Uwais-Savage Concha were unsuccessful. President Cyril “Whitey” Scott was contacted and affirmed that he’s “investigating the situation.”Get the Story:
