New Menominee Nation chairwoman to deliver tribal address

Laurie Boivin, the new leader of the Menominee Nation of Wisconsin, will deliver the annual State of the Tribes address this Thursday.

Boivin was elected chairwoman after winning a seat on the tribe's Legislature last month. She succeeds Craig Corn, who will remain on the Legislature.

Joining Boivin are two other women leaders. Crystal Chapman-Chevalier will serve as vice chair and Joan Delabreau will serve as secretary.

Boivin's speech on Thursday will be delivered to members of the state Legislature
