Suspended Native lawmaker in Canada indicted for expenses

Brazeau was indicted today in connection with his expenses as a government official.
Brazeau, who is Algonquin, was charged with one count of fraud and one count of breach of trust. Authorities allege he collected travel and living expenses to which he wasn't entitled.
Brazeau claims to live near his reserve even though he maintains a home in Gatineau, Quebec -- not far from Ottawa, the capital of Canada. It was at that home where he was arrested on a domestic violence charges in February 2013.
Brazeau was suspended following the indictment. He awaits a trial on those charges.
