Chickasaw Nation Gov. Bill Anoatubby won't be running for the Oklahoma's open U.S. Senate seat.

Anoatubby's name came up after Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma), a former member of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, announced his retirement. But Anoatubby said he hopes to continue leading his people as long as they keep re-electing him.

Rep. Tom Cole (R-Oklahoma), also Chickasaw, said he won't be running for the seat either.
