The
Department of Justice will expand rules that restrict the use of racial profiling by federal agents, The New York Times reports.
The rules will prohibit agents from considering race, religion, national origin, gender and sexual orientation, the paper said. Previously, race was the only factor under a policy first instituted during the
Bush administration.
It's not known when the changes will be announced.
