The California Valley Miwok Tribe could soon lose its only property. The tribe operates out of a small house in Stockton. But it hasn't been able to make payments due to a halt in revenue sharing funds from the state of California. "Right now we're fighting for an acre and a half. People say (I) live in a mansion. This is the tribe's house. I have a room," Chairperson Silvia Burley told News10. The property was scheduled to go to auction on Monday but the tribe got a 24-hour reprieve.
