Janett Reyna, the domestic violence services director for the
Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma, was laid to rest on Friday.
Reyna, 29, was killed at her home on August 8. A first-degree murder warrant is out for her boyfriend, Luis Octavio-Frias.
Reyna, who helped dozens of women in her job for the tribe, had taken out a protective order against Octavio-Frias just a few days before her death, The Native American Times reported.
The couple's three children were at home when Reyna was killed.
