Northern Cheyenne Tribe schedules election for new president

Voters of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana will be choosing a new leader.

John Robinson was ousted as president earlier this month. He was accused of failing to provide due process for an employee that he fired.

Robinson attempted to dispute his ouster but appears to have failed. The employee, meanwhile, was reportedly reinstated.

The tribe will hold a primary election September 5 and a general election on October 8 to fill the post.
