Wednesday, July 10, 2013
The Oklahoma Indian Legal Services will be hosting clinics in connection with the $3.4 billion Cobell trust fund settlement.
Hundreds of thousands of Indian beneficiaries are owed money for the mismanagement of their trust fund accounts and trust assets. But some payments are being held up due to probate issues.
OILS will be offering clinics to help heirs secure payments through the use of small estate affidavits, The Lawton Constitution reported.
