Sioux tribes discuss shared issues at third Oceti Sakowin meet

Sioux tribes from North Dakota and South Dakota are meeting this week for the third Oceti Sakowin.
The Oceti Sakowin represents the seven council fires of the Lakota, Dakota and Nakota people.
Tribal leaders recently revived the meetings, the third of which takes place Monday through Wednesday in Rapid City.
Topics on the agenda include the Indian Child
Welfare Act and the Keystone XL
Pipeline.
