Authorities bust 22 in drug ring on North Dakota reservation
Tuesday, July 2, 2013
Federal authorities announced charges against 22 people for distributing drugs on the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation in North Dakota.
Authorities said heroin, methamphetamine and other drugs were brought from elsewhere in the country to the Fort Berthold Reservation. Some of the defendants appear to be non-Indians from other states.
The investigation, known as "Operation Winter's End," appears to be ongoing.
