Voters oust two incumbents from Spirit Lake Nation's council

Members of the Spirit Lake Nation of North Dakota ousted two incumbents in a general election on Tuesday.

Nancy Greene-Robertson defeated incumbent Barbara Jackson for the secretary-treasurer position. Leander “Russ” McDonald defeated incumbent Clarice Brownshield for the the Fort Totten District seat on the council.

Tribal members continue to gather signatures for petition to oust Chairman Roger Yankton.
