An Indian Health Service facility on the Navajo Nation is looking for ways to improve its customer service.
The Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico, started a committee to examine service issues. The goal is to improve communication and cut down waiting time.
As part of the effort, the committee met with the center's board. One board member lamented the lack of employees who speak the Navajo language.
