A new report examines the state of Indian non-profits in Minnesota.
The
Native Americans in Philanthropy and the
Minnesota Council of Nonprofits collaborated to produce "The Native American Nonprofit Economy Report."
The groups identified 89 Indian non-profits, with 1,200 employees and $69 million in annual expenditures, according to The Minneapolis Star Tribune.
“Part of this is creating awareness of who they are and what activities they are engaged in,”
Dan Lemm, the director of programs and financing for Native Americans in Philanthropy, told the paper.
“It’s the beginning of the relationship so philanthropists can support their work.”
