The leader of a small tribe in Brazil is bringing technology to his people in hopes of preserving their land, culture and natural resources.
Just a few decades ago, the 1,300-member Surui Tribe was considered "uncontacted."
Thanks to the efforts of Chief Almir Narayamoga Surui, the tribe is now working with
google and other companies to map its reserve and keep out intruders.
“We came to understand that the Surui people alone can’t resolve the problems the world is facing,” the chief told the Associated Press.
