Police look into claim involving Native man in Saskatchewan

Law enforcement in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, are investigating a claim that a Native man was driven to the outskirts of town on a freezing night.

Drayton Bull told Aboriginal People's Television Network that he was “highly intoxicated” when he left his brother's house on Monday. He doesn't remember exactly what happened but he ended up at his father's house several hours later and had to be hospitalized for a concussion.

“I am hoping (my memory) will come back in the next couple of days," Bull told APTN.

Bull's step-mother called police and made the claim that he was driven to the edge of town and forced to walk home.

"The Saskatoon Police Service considers allegations such as this to be very serious in nature. Every effort will be made to take a full, formal complaint and investigate thoroughly," the agency said in a press release.
