The
Northern Arapaho Tribe of Wyoming has scheduled a new primary and general election after a dispute involving one candidate.
Kim Harjo appeared on the October 18 primary ballot in violation of tribal law, The Casper Star-Tribune reports. Her candidacy set off a flurry of activity that resulted in the tribal council
firing all five election judges, plus two clerks, voiding the results of the primary and setting the new election schedule.
The new primary is supposed to take place later this month. The general election will be held in December.
