Paul Brooks won re-election as chairman of the
Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, according to
unofficial results.
Brooks received 2,559 votes, or 52 percent, of the vote. Jimmy Goins, the closest challenger, saw 2,042 votes, or 42 percent.
"I look forward to working to move the tribe forward through the creation of jobs and education," Brooks said after the votes were tallied, The Robesonian reported.
