The Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota finally has its own movie theater.
The
Nunpa Theatre in Kyle offers first-run movies on two screens.
"Nunpa" means two in the Lakota language.
“I love going to movies, and I see a lot of Native Americans at movies. We just need some sort of entertainment instead of basketball and sports, a place to spend the evening,” Angel Reddest, who opened the theater with her mother, Monna Patton, told the Associated Press.
The theater is open Friday through Monday.
