The
Yurok Tribe of California reported seizures of nearly 2,000 marijuana plants and 177 pounds of processed marijuana on the reservation.
Working with other law enforcement agencies, the tribe eradicated three large-scale marijuana farms in the last couple of weeks.
”We are trying to get the word out. If you are growing pot on the reservation, you are going to get caught,” Public Safety Chief Mary McQuillen said in a press release.
This summer alone, the tribe removed 3,826 marijuana plants from the reservation.
