Haskell University making 'corrective actions' for athletics

Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas said it has taken “corrective actions” to address problems with its athletics program.

Haskell has been suspended by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for "violations involving ineligible players." There's also been an investigation by the U.S. Department of Education Inspector General.

Details, however, remain scarce. Haskell has been reluctant to share information but said it has upgraded some of its computer systems and has improved some of its policies.

“Haskell takes ethical and compliance responsibilities very serious and believes this was an isolated event,” President Chris Redman said in a press release, the Associated Press reported.
