Tribes in Kansas will meet for the 12th Annual Native Nations Law Symposium tomorrow.
The
Kickapoo Tribe is hosting this year's meeting. The featured speaker will be Jodi Gillette, the Senior Policy Advisor for Native American Affairs at the
White House.
“We are looking forward to hearing from Ms. Gillette on Friday as she represents the Obama Administration’s position on Native American affairs before our symposium. Our tribal members and our symposium attendees will be very interested in her remarks," Kickapoo Chairman Steve Cadue said in a press release, WIBW reported.
The Kickapoo Tribe, the
Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, the
Sac and Fox Nation and the Iowa Tribe take turns hosting the symposium.
