The
Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana will distribute nearly half of a $50 million trust fund settlement to its members.
Each of the 10,522 members is eligible to pick up a $2,000 check this Friday and Saturday, according to a notice on the tribe's web site.
The per capita payments represent a little more than $21 million of the settlement.
The tribe hasn't said what it will do with the rest of the money.
