The
Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota plans to expand its bus transit system.
The system currently covers 16 main villages on the Pine Ridge Reservation.
More than 70,000 people have used the service since it began in 2009.
Now the tribe plans to offer service off the reservation. Rides to Rapid City could begin this summer.
"It will be really helpful for our residents," Vice President Tom Poor Bear told the Associated Press.
