Race-related hate crimes are dropping across Canada, according to a new report.
In 2010, only 17 hate crimes against Aboriginals were reported to police, according to Statistics Canada. That's a drop from the 26 hate crimes that were reported to police in 2009.
Overall, 1,401 race-related hate crimes were reported to police in 2010.
The most common victims were Black, according to the data.
A total of 395 hate crimes based on religion were reported in 2010. The most common victims were people of the Jewish faith, according to the report.
