The
Penobscot Nation of Maine has hired a new executive for its economic development enterprise.
Matthew Novick will help
Penobscot Indian Nation Enterprises improve its federal contracting business and help the tribe diversify into other areas. He performed similar services for the
Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma from 1993 to 2007. More recently, he worked for an Alaska Native corporation subsidiary.
“As the company has grown over the last 14 to 16 months, we’re really now starting to see a need for building our bank not just on dollars but on wealth of knowledge,” Chief Kirk Francis told The Bangor Daily News.
