Fort Peck Tribes accept transfer of bison from Yellowstone

The Fort Peck Tribes of Montana accepted 63 bison from Yellowstone National Park on Monday.

The tribe reached an agreement with the state to accept 64 bison from the park. One died on the 500-mile trip to the reservation, the Associated Press reported.

Some neighboring landowners and other groups tried to stop the move but a judge denied their request.
