A lawyer in Manitoba who overcharged survivors of Native residential schools has been disbarred.
Howard Tennenhouse admitted that he took more than $950,000 from former students. They will be reimbursed for their losses.
"Many of these people are elderly, some of them are not in good health, and it's very important they get the money, like, right away," Allan Fineblit, the CEO of the Law Society of Manitoba, told CBC News.
