The
Pala Band of Mission Indians of California is nearing the one-year anniversary of its radio station.
KOPA 91.3 FM went on the air last February. The station offers a mix of 24-hour news, talk, music, culture and entertainment for communities on and near the reservation.
The tribe spent abougt $500,000 to set up KOPA, a former tribal council member who has a politically oriented show on the station said.
