A man from the
Crow Reservation in Montana was hospitalized after being shot by a
Bureau of Indian Affairs officer on Sunday night.
Richard Martinez apparently exchanged words with officer Allen Plain Bull before striking him. Plain Bull used a stun gun on Martinez and then shot him in the back, The BIllings Gazette reported.
"It wasn't right what he did," the man's son, Richard Martinez Jr., told the paper. "He didn't have a gun or nothin'."
The
FBI is investigating.
