Republican voters in Iowa held their caucuses on Tuesday, with former Massachusetts governor
Mitt Romney narrowly winning by 8 votes.
Former U.S. Senator
Rick Santorum came in a close second. Congressman
Ron Paul of Texas finished third.
None of the candidates have much of an Indian record. In Massachusetts, Romney once offered to block a tribal casino as long as tribes in neighboring Connecticut shared their gaming revenues, according to
Governing Magazine.
Neither Santorum nor Paul sponsored any major Indian bills during their time on Capitol Hill.
