Blackfeet Nation woman is named new leader of tribal college
Tuesday, January 3, 2012
Billie Jo Kipp has been named president of the Blackfeet Community College.
Kipp is a member of the Blackfeet Nation. Although she didn't finish college on her first try, she eventually went on to earn her doctorate in clinical psychology.
"From the time I left I always looked for ways to come back," Kipp told The Great Falls Tribune. "But I realized that in being away so long, it really helped me to develop and strengthen personally. Sometimes the things you want most come to you when they are supposed to."
