Hearing scheduled in Osage Nation's lawsuit against wind farm

The Osage Nation of Oklahoma is due in federal court on December 14 in its lawsuit against a proposed wind farm.

The tribe is trying to block the 8,300-acre Wind Capital Group. The lawsuit claims the project interferes with the tribe's mineral rights.

The tribe owns the entire mineral estate in Osage County, where the farm would be located. Wind Capital says it will provide enough access should the tribe require it.

The company asked for an expedited trial, which the judge granted. The project could lose federal tax credits if the project is delayed.
