Blog: Quileute Tribe trying to dispel 'Twilight' misconceptions

"You wouldn’t think Washington’s Quileute Tribe would have to explain its people don’t actually transform into werewolves and fight vampires.

But then, you wouldn’t think teenage girls would go crazy for a story about musclebound boys with superhuman qualities fighting over a fair-skinned damsel in distress.

Oh, wait. Maybe that werewolf explanation is in order after all.

The Quileutes recently launched the site “Truth vs. Twilight” in conjunction with the University of Washington’s Burke Museum, aiming to debunk “Twilight” myths about tribal legends."
