Recall for Colorado River Indian Tribes council member falters

Amanda Barrera, a council member for the Colorado River Indian Tribes, survived a recall election.
A critic accused Barrera of abusing her position. But tribal members voted 345 to 295 to keep her on the council.
Since 2008, there have been at least five recall attempts or recall elections within the tribe. One council member has faced three recall efforts.
