Oneida Nation ends negotiations with county on biomass plant

The Oneida Nation has ended talks with Brown County, Wisconsin, over an agreement to accept trash at its biomass facility.

Oneida Seven Generations Corp. still plans to build the 60,000-square-foot facility. But it won't be accepting waste from the county, a decision that perplexed officials.

"We were down to just wordsmithing," a county official told The Green Bay Press-Gazette.

The president of Oneida Seven Generations issued a statement saying that the tribe and the county had "different objectives."
