Quechan Nation employee arrested for making threats at office

An employee of the Quechan Nation has been arrested and jailed after he made threats at a tribal office.

Andrew Lawrence Paddock, 58, allegedly had a confrontation with someone at the office on September 8. Authorities then searched his work locker and his home and found more than two dozen assault rifles, knives, sawed-off shotguns and rifles.

The incident at the tribal office occurred on the California portion of the reservation and Paddock's home is in California. He is being held in Imperial County jail in California on 26 counts of weapons violations and threats.
