Wyoming man pleads not guilty for murder of Arapaho infant

A Wyoming man pleaded not guilty of murder in connection with the death of a seven-month-old infant, the Associated Press reports.

Authorities say Jonathan David Marshall, 22, is responsible for the July 28 death of Eli C'Bearing. The boy, who was a member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe, died of blunt force wounds and had a skull fracture.

The crime occurred in Riverton. In a prior criminal case, the tribe backed a man who said the city is still part of the Wind River Reservation.

The state courts have consistently ruled that Riverton was removed from the reservation.
