The
Pala Band of Mission Indians of California removed eight people from the rolls, The North County Times reports.
The tribe said the eight people did not meet membership criteria. A person must have 1/16 Pala blood to be enrolled.
Among those disenrolled was King Freeman, a former chairman, and his son, Tony Freeman.
The group failed to file an appeal, a tribal spokesperson said.
