Mashantucket Tribe delays powwow in anticipation of hurricane

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut has delayed its upcoming powwow due to an expected hurricane.

The Green Corn Powwow was scheduled to take place this weekend. But with Hurricane Irene expected to hit Connecticut, the tribe has moved the event to September 16-18.

The powwow will be the first at the new Mashantucket Cultural Grounds.
