Yurok Tribe awarded $1.08M grant to help build visitors center

The Yurok Tribe of California has been awarded $1.08 million grant that will help promote its culture to visitors.
The tribe will use the Department of Transportation grant to build a 2,500 square-foot visitors center. It's part of the Yurok Scenic Byway Project.
“For the first time, we will have our own venue to share our rich heritage with the world,” Chairman Thomas O’Rourke Sr., said in a press release. “We will be able to tell our story in our own words
