Chippewa Cree Tribe to hold election to elect new chairman

The Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana will hold a special election on July 5 to choose a new chairman.
Raymond "Jake" Parker Jr. resigned last month. He pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $60,000 from the tribe.
Parker faces up to five years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release. He will pay restitution to the tribe.
