The
Mescalero Apache Nation of New Mexico is looking into renewable energy.
The tribe wants to cut down on consumption and increase economic development opportunities. "Renewable energy gives us an opportunity to diversify our business enterprises and honor our traditional values," Vice President Sandra Platero said, The Alamogordo Daily News reported.
The tribe hopes to include renewable energy in its 10-year master plan.
