A popular Creek Indian display that was housed at the Birmingham Museum of Art for seven year has found a new home.
The Greater Talladega Area Chamber of Commerce plans to relocate the display into the new Creek Indian Museum in Talladega.
Local leaders invited the
Poarch Band of Creek Indians to check out the project.
“I wanted them to come here and see your vision, and that you realize how important it is to preserve history," rural development coordinator Ron Sparks told two tribal council members, The Talladega Daily Home reported.
The building still needs about $250,000 in work before the museum opens
