Kansas Hall of Fame will induct former VP Charles Curtis

Former vice president Charles Curtis will be among the first eight inductees to the Kansas Hall of Fame.
Curtis was a member of the Kaw Nation. He served as Republican Senate majority leader before becoming the first Native American vice president from 1929 through 1933.
Guy Munroe, the chairman of the Kaw Nation, will represent Curtis at the swearing-in ceremony on June 17 at the Great Overland Station.
