Gov. Mary Fallin (R) says the state needs to finish work on the
American Indian Cultural Center and Museum in Oklahoma City
Fallin will ask lawmakers to approve a bill to authorize the sale of $39 million in bonds to complete construction. The bonds would be matched by $40 million in private contributions.
“That's a project that was begun 20 years ago in discussion,” Fallin told The Oklahoman. “We have a large investment sitting out on the river in Oklahoma City that needs to be funded and completed. ... It's embarrassing not to have it finished.”
