The
Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma is expanding its distribution and fulfillment business with a move to an industrial park.
The business has outgrown its building in Tahlequah, the capitol of the Cherokee Nation. So the tribe is moving to the
MidAmerica Industrial Park where it will function as a light assembly for companies like AT&T and Verizon.
"Cherokee Nation is attractive to major corporations because it is stable, financially strong and two years out of a recession we are very well capitalized and ready for growth," Cherokee Business CEO David Stewart told The Pryor Daily Times.
Stewart said the move to the new facility will create 35 jobs.
