A family says the
San Manuel Band of Mission Indians should pay for repairs to the home they lost in a mudslide.
The Hernandez's say the mudslide last December was caused by one of the tribe's road improvement projects. But the
Tribal First insurance company says the tribe isn't liable for the damage.
"It's been a real nightmare," Karen Hernandez told The Redlands Daily Facts. "One thing right after the other."
The tribe has let the family live rent-free in one of its houses and provided $50,000 to cover expenses.
