Thursday, March 24, 2011
Yvette Roubideaux, the director of the Indian Health Service, is in South Dakota to meet with tribes and hold a consultation session.
Roubideaux, a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, met with the Great Plains Tribal Chairman's Association to discuss care in the Aberdeen Area. The Senate Indian Affairs Committee issued a report late last year that described mismanagement and other problems in the area.
Today, Roubideaux is leading a consultation session to ask tribes about the budget and other concerns.
