Charlie Andrews, a Chukchansi man from California, hopes to turn jousting into the next major sporting event.
Andrews co-founded the Ultimate Jousting Championship. His efforts to make jousting a national sport through the Knights of Mayhem will be featured in a new reality series on National Geographic Television.
"No. 1, I love my horses, so doing anything with them is fun," Andrews told The Modesto Bee. "Being in a partnership with your horse and smashing the other guy with your lance is pretty exhilarating."
Andrews was featured in the New York Times Magazine last July.
